about me
I started doing nails in August of 2019, at 18 years old. With only $300 of my own money, I impulsively purchased every item I needed to complete a full set, after my considerable research. After receiving everything, I jumped right into nails. I had always been a nail enthusiast when it came to getting my nails done but never did I think I would actually do them myself.

While I hated practice hands and had no one to really practice on, I began practicing on myself. I would be sure to try out both hands to see what I could do. It was hard, but I never felt discouraged, I knew I would get better soon. I stayed consistent and relentlessly promoted myself.

In no time, just 3 months of touching a nail, I moved into a shop. I worked at a booth alongside hairstylists and lash artists. At this shop, my business started to blow up in front of my eyes.
so then i went on to...
After working in my booth I decided to upgrade to a suite and contracted 2 girls to work in it with me for weekly booth rent. I did this for about a year and had the best time, and made some lifelong friendships. Shortly after leaving that shop I began nail school and completed that in nine months.
All through school I continued to work, just from home. After school was over I was seeking somewhere else to continue my career and that happened to be @shakitaway_nailspa.
Through perseverance , dedication, and passion I haven't let up ever since I started. I'm now looking to share my knowledge and touch everyone I can with it. I really started from 0 and I know anyone can succeed at what I do with the tools I have picked up along the way.
